Rules of the Expedition
Lodestar Expedition was founded by folks who are explicitly interested in providing a fun and safe environment for people of all skill levels. We don't tolerate shaming or bullying of any sort and have many active and valued LGBTQ+ members. To that end our rules are as such:
Be Kind - Treat people how you'd like to be treated. This means we have a zero tolerance policy for racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and any form of hate speech.
Play by the Rules - No botting, cheating, scamming, harassment or other violations of the terms of use.
Keep it Friendly - While we are an 18+ guild our chat channels and discord are not the spot for ERP, lengthy political topics, etc. Please take any such discussions to a private channel.
Be Respectful - Respect other people's time, energy and desire to do their own thing at their own pace. Avoid gratuitous venting.
Communicate & Consent - When in doubt, talk it out OOC and make sure everyone is OK with the content you want to explore, whether it's a M+ High Key or a new RP scene.
Welcome to Expedition's Rest
As the adventures in Khaz Algar coming to a close the world holds its breath for the next big adventure. The Lodestar Expedition packs their gear and ships off, not to Boralus as they have in the past, but to a new permanent home on the Island of Expedition's Rest.Tucked in the sea between Stormwind and Boralus this island offers a chance for the Expedition to move beyond their tents and into long-term homes where they can store their research, trophies, and their memories of adventure.
Housing Plots are avialable on a first-come, first-serve basis. Horde charter neighborhood coming in Midnight!

PvE with the Expedition
Lodestar's raid and mythic+ teams focuses on playing with friends and seeing content at our own pace. While we are happy to strive for the stars our aim is always to place our players' fun first. We embrace the idea of bringing the player, not the class, so we welcome those that want to play whatever class or spec they enjoy most.
Lodestar Raiders
To make raiding accessible to our members with busy adult lives we raid once per week on Sunday afternoons CST. Despite this limited raiding window we've consistently made it to 7/8 heroic in all War Within seasons.

Mythic+ Keystones
Our Mythic+ teams meet each week to try tackling content to the best of their ability. Some of us enjoy pushing 10+ keystones, while others are content to run easy +2 or +3 keys. We have a good range of DPS, but are always looking for folks that are willing to flex into tanking or healing roles.

Roleplaying in Lodestar
Our goal with roleplaying in Lodestar is to be a friendly space for players who enjoy roleplay and want a casual social environment to support their goals. We don't have mandatory roleplay events and we don't have complex systems you need to learn.Instead what we aim to have is a flexible roleplay-friendly story that follows the main story of each expansion at an arm's length. We might have casual drop-in roleplay events from time to time, but most roleplay is player-driven either through calls for RP in our discord's lfrp channel or through the use of our mission board where folks can pick up jobs to complete solo or as part of a group.
The Expedition's Story
The opening of the Dragon Isles paved the way for a new era of discovery and exploration and adventurers from across Azeroth flocked to the newly uncovered shores to answer the call. From among their ranks the Lodestar Expedition was formed by a group of friends as they explored mysterious lost ruins in the Azure Span.When the Radiant Song echoed across Azeroth the Lodestar Expedition was spurred into undertaking its first full campaign on the Isle of Dorn. After traversing the depths of Azeroth and the wilds of Ka'resh the Lodestar Expedition is now poised to follow wherever the next conflict may arise.To bolster their ranks the Lodestar Expedition has thrown their doors open. Now flyers advertising the chance for adventure can now be found in every port of call whether they be Horde, Alliance, or of no alliegance whatsoever.
Joining in Character
If you're interested to join in character you have options for how to go about it.
You can simply make a post in our #character-profiles and explain there how they joined.
You can request to be introduced through a roleplay interview with Beoren or Derin by pinging them in the #lfrp channel or over private messages.
You can start an OOC conversation in our #rp-discussion channel to help work out how your character might have learned about the Expedition or see if you'd like to build connections with existing membership.
We Welcome New Players!
Whether you're coming back after a long hiatus or playing for the first time Lodestar Expedition is happy to have you join our ranks! We have a welcoming mix of experienced players and folks that are new to the game. Our goal is to have a guild where fun and learning are placed at the forefront. We don't tolerate shaming folks for trying something new or needing a few tries to get things right.

Do you have to be a roleplayer to join?
No. We're roleplay friendly and many of us roleplay regularly but it is not required to be a member of the guild!Do I have to raid or do other group PvE content to join?
No. We welcome folks that want to join for the social element or any other reason. You're always welcome to join us for content but it is never required.What do I need to do to join your raid?
Generally speaking we're willing to bring folks of almost any skill level along with us to raid. A good rule of thumb is to have an ilevel high enough that you could queue for the Looking for Raid (LFR) version of the raid.What does LGBTQ+ Inclusive mean?
It means we're not just friendly to LGBTQ+ folks, we have a large percentage of our guild who are part of the LGBTQ+ Community. We're here, we're queer, we're raiding for better gear.Are you all Alliance only?
Nope! We welcome members from both factions.What server are you all on?
Most of our members are on Moonguard or Wyrmrest Accord, the two largest RP servers. However, we have plenty of folks with characters on a variety of other servers! You're welcome to join even if you're not on a RP realm.

The Last Shot is a pop-up Tavern that travels with the Lodestar wherever they go. Consisting of a keg of whatever Beoren can scrounge up, a few chairs, and a propped up dart board the Last Shot is a place for folks to gather in the field to share stories and friendship.The Last Shot Tavern takes places in Dornogal in the Cinderside Hall area. To get to this speakeasy you will enter the underground tunnels in the Stoneshaper's Atrium area in Dornogal. Follow the path down and hang a right at the Speakeasy Runeguard.
